Wal-Mart settlement under fire
Connecticut Business - The Hartford Courant
Nice deal. The Labor Department fines them a measly $135,000 and, get this - agrees to give Wal-Mart 15-day advance notice before any further audits as well as a 10-day grace period to correct any violations.
Just like on Cops, where they give the purse-snatcher a three block head start, right?

Poor, poor Wal-Mart! This is an atrocious deal, further cementing in my mind that this administration isn't business-friendly--it's business-worshiping.
When meat handlers formed a union they eliminated their department and started purchasing only pre-packaged meats. In Quebec an entire store was closed down when the workers there were given the green light to form a union. They must be getting crotchety.
At least the AG in Connecticut is looking to pursue them within the state and looking for support from other state AGs for similar action where they are.
